It was indeed a moment of pride for PUMBA to welcome all our alumni yet again at their respective cities this year for CHAPTER MEET '07. The chapter meets conducted by Alumni Cell are a platform for interaction between students and alumni, where students gain industry exposure through valuable insights through alumni. Each year, it is endeavored that Chapter Meet generates new ideas to revolutionize PUMBA and not be just another alumni get together. This year too, a small step was taken towards improving networking with our alumni with CHAPTER MEET '07; the theme chosen was “Sharing your experience can prove to be Midas touch for us”. The agenda for the evening was to celebrate the pride of being a PUMBAite.

The event started with a formal welcome address by Dr. Anil Keskar in which he enlightened the alumni about MBA ++. It was followed by a movie presentation of alumni cell that depicted the passion, enthusiasm & spirit of the Alumni cell. It was a true insider’s story of how Alumni Cell works to bring together various events and provide value addition throughout the year. This was followed by the reality check of placements 2006-07 through a statistical presentation by the Placement cell. The discussion that followed was intended to draw insights on how to increase the brand value of PUMBA & how our alumni can help accentuate the same. Most of the alumni participated in the discussion and came out with relevant points regarding upgrading brand PUMBA and creating value based learning. Relevant points were brought out such as:

• A constant interaction with alumni through mails & newsletters throughout the year.
• To organize more face- to-face interactions at various time periods.
• To collaborate our course with other institutes or agencies that can provide various dimension & exposure.
• To provide in-house professional counseling for students
• To encourage entrepreneurship skills amongst students.

During the final faculty address by Dean Dr.Capt.C.M.Chitale, he urged the alumni, especially the recent pass outs, to come down & share the experiences of corporate world with current students.

However, this year too, we too had our share of the usual and some unusual hiccups whether it was coping with reduced attendance on D-Day, due to bad weather, traffic snarls or some unknown reasons despite confirmations, or be it the discovery that some alumni have disappeared into oblivion yet again due to change of contact numbers and jobs. We at alumni cell would like to make a sincere request to all those alumni who are reading this to kindly inform us about any change in contact details by mailing us at contact@pumbaalumnicell.net. We put in lots of efforts into any event & converting it into a success and we would be glad if you could be a part of it every time.

Despite all these problems, CHAPTER MEET ’07 , this year has again proved to be an all round success as its triggered lot of initiatives in terms of alumni promising to come down to campus for mentoring students.
