Hi Ankit and PUMBA systems team,

Great Job Guys...AWESOME in 1 word!!

For the kind of resources you guys have @PUMBA...I would say you guys have excelled in every aspect of creating a Masterpiece for our Prestigious Institution.

I have the following suggestions-

Every brand consists of components like

Brand Name,  Slogan,  Brand Symbol and Brand Associations.

We have all, but its not conspicous consistently on the website (the way it should).  A strong (and sound) brand is what will be valued by our prospective customers (MBA aspirants)

A) Brand Name, Slogan and Symbol-

1) Ensure that the Brand name,  slogan "Fostering Business Leadership...Since 1971" and our brand  symbol go together all the time on every different web-page and always manifested together to reinforce our message constantly as a B-School.

Brand communication has to be consistent, if hampered with, leads to only confusion

A common question that MBA aspirants ask is "What is PUMBA?"

Ensure mentioning that PUMBA is an acronym for the Prestigious Department Of Management Sciences, University Of Pune.

B) Some Brand Associations (Via PUMBAs Delivery system).  

2) PUMBA, today, has some of the best faculty members. We have people from IIMs, IIFT, Pune University. Highlight these big brand names with the faculty members as that will serve a good association factor.

We have more than 7 PHDs as permanent faculty, 3-5 readers...that is a great asset today. Show it off!!

PUMBAs visiting faculty, for me, is a 'killer factor'- awesome in its MIX and programme delivery...lets highlight this value education association

3) PUMBAs course curriculum ROCKS!! With Inter Disciplinary subjects like Econometrics, GTE, Strategic studies, media and Music to name a few and with the initiation of Foreign languages it has every ingredient to shake up people who think Indian University B-Schools cannot deliver, well as per current happenings@PUMBA , PUMBA is India's Finest Autonomous University B-School

Highlight this association in the mind of aspirants. There is no other Autonomous University B-School in India 

4) I am sure there are many alumni who respect PUMBA as an institution and respect its contribution to their career. Get them speaking...put these quotes on the website ...this will also help a lot!!

5) PUMBAs MBA BT is one in the TOP 5 in India. That considering we have never tried advertising like our competitors do. I hear this year MBA BT closed at 97% in ATMA...that is Mind Blowing. Show it OFF!!

C) Some Action Plan TIPS!!

6) Make a Systems Cell Annual Operating Plan and 5 year Strategic plan (Review both plans every year when you handover the CELL) . Print it and put it up on the Systems Cell Walls, let it be reinfirced everyday

Decide through this plan-

a) Vision u envisage for PUMBAs website and communication strategy.

b) 10 top Objectives of Systems Cell to achieve that Vision and Operational Excellence

c) How to be Consistent in your Offerings and communication as Systems Cell @ PUMBA.

d) A plan for reviewing all the above at a definite time interval.  

Knowing your Target Audience (MBA Aspirants, Coaching Institutes, B-School Magazines and the alumni) will help u plan your vision and objectives better thus leading to planned results.

 You have come out with a wonderful product...its necessary to stay wonderful. Ensure that all information is updated on time and accurate.

As Dr Kotler says "LETS CREATE, COMMUNICATE AND DELIVER" (for me add the word  CONSISTENTLY there!!!)

Every successful offering has a genuine and customer driven marketing process as a back bone...u guys can ensure this on the internet

In the end I wanna sign off by saying that you guys have made every PUMBAite proud of your offering. At least I am for sure, because I understand and believe that @PUMBA, we learn to live with the harsh truth we as managers face in corporate arena...work with limited resources...but at the same time deliver results. I know what constraints you guys work under...but today with your delivery...you have proved PUMBA has TRANSFORMED.

Remember, every action today has a LONG TERM IMPLICATION...so whatever actions you take .....be alert that it will definitely have a LONG TERM IMPACT for us. Let this IMPACT benefit PUMBA. Let there be Goal Congruence and lets start thinking of Organizational Goals rather than our personal gaols.
