Some time back I watched a program on cnbctv 18 about the various social initiative that big corporate giants have taken in the last few years. It's a pleasant surprise and i am  happy to see these companies giving back to society in their own way. At a time where every one (read politicians) call these private firms 'selfish and money minded'...I wonder why these good initiatives by corporates don't make to the front pages of the tabloids??? Is it a deliberate move to shy away from needless publicity?? In addition, all these firms don't do all this as a one time affair but have dedicated cells to plan and execute social programs on a long term basis...
