An Afternoon with Mr. Vikram Hemdev

The Alumni Cell members happened to meet Mr. Vikram Hemdev, Head Marketing, Radio Mirchi Pune (Batch of 2003) at his office.

Mr. Hemdev was at his best and made us completely at ease in his office. He shared his experiences of days when he was a PUMBAite. He highlighted the importance of working for the cell and the fact that the cell members have a great responsibility in guiding the batch mates and grooming them with all aspects right from basic etiquettes, preparation for GDs and PIs.

Mr. Hemdev suggested to the Alumni Cell that apart from Nostalgia, Chapter Meet and Guest Lectures; an alumnus needs to be provided with various platforms for interacting with the current batch students. This could be informal chats on a Sunday Morning, asking them to be part of any of the number of events organized by the college. He was of the opinion that unconventional platform like these would definitely help students to hone their soft skills and thereby improve their confidence. All these activities would help students not only to improve them as a person but also allow an opportunity to strike a personal chord with the corporate.Finally, he also felt as a student we should not be afraid of failures. We should always continue learning and make mistakes; corporates are not GOD, they too are HUMANS.Truly, it was really enlightening to listen to Mr. Vikram Hemdev.
Mr. Hemdev would be shortly coming for a guest lecture in PUMBA.
