Azamgarh, a small sleepy town in eastern UP, is in news again, for all the wrong reasons.


Of late it has been contributing to human resource planning of the chote bhais and bade bhais of underworld. The two terrorist shot down in encounter on friday in delhi were from Azamgarh. And now three more nabbed today by Delhi Police are also from the same place.

No doubt its one of the poor districts of UP (but not most), lack of irrigation facility, poverty, unemployment, and all those traits good books on Indian economy are full of, but so are other neighbouring districts in eastern UP and else where in India.
