We, students at PUMBA, have been doing a 8 day internship with Pune police. We will be working with Pune police for 8 days and would understand how they work. Objective of this mission is to reduce the negative impression of Pune police from the layman's mind and to bring police and public closer. And also to motivate pune police to work more honestly and with more enthusiasm. This program has been initiated by Pune Police Commisionor Ms Meera Borankar with the help of our Dean Capt Chitale.
Following is the Road Map of this internship.
And there is much more.We have started on this task from friday 20th Aug 2010. Till now we had an awesome experience. In short, we can say that our Pune Police really works hard and does service selflessly.
And after the completion of our internship we have to make powerpoint presentaion which we have to present infront of Commissionor of police and based on our work and feedback it will be conducted all over Pune then all over India if its possible.

In our presentations we mentioned our learnings,observation and at the end suggestions to Police dept and Police personel.
We have presented our presentation infront of Commissionor of police(CP)Mrs Meeran Borwankar and all the police head authorities like Add CP south and north zone few DCP, ACP and many others.
Our presentations and suggestions were very much appreciated by CP madam and all other police authorities.They said that they will implement our suggestion in future.
In this way we ended our Police Student internship but we are still in touch with police and have promised them that we will be ready to help them whenever they need as per our convenience and will do awareness amongst people to cooperate with police and will also spread the positive impression of police.
This will help to decrease the distance between lehman and police.
Through this medium I would also like to to say that Police do work very hard.What they do cannot be done by You and me. If we say that they are corrupt then we are responsible for that.We try to bribe them when we break rules.
Instead of that pay the fine or suffer the punishment whatever it may be. If we will stop bribing them and follow the rules and bymistake if we break any rules follow the legal method for dues.Then automatically corruption will decrease. Its that we the people have to inculcate discipline and honesty in our own life. Then there will be no corruption and we could see our nation at the highest point of the development.
