DO YOU HAVE A HERO IN YOU?
- ILIYAS SHAIKH,
I YEAR, MBA++

Finally, the marriage between HERO & its Japanese partner HONDA is over. The erstwhile automobile company now has a new avatar: Hero Motor Corp. And the occasion selected to make this announcement couldn’t have been more apt. The 64th

The campaign, which features the maestro A. R. Rahman, is focused on the central idea that every person has a hero within himself/herself. This focus is aptly conveyed through the lilting song that accompanies the TVC. A. R. Rahman does a beautifully job again, as expected. Independence Day was the perfect moment for HERO Motor Corp to proclaim its independent existence and establish a new identity sans its terminated partnership with HONDA. And boy have they done it in style.

on Maruti Suzuki advt

Maruti Suzuki new advt being telecast during cricket world cup has some confusing message and tag line or may be am unable to comprehend it.

The advertisement shows our(Indian's) habit of keeping old (read useless) things like gift covers and the jingle says 'purana rakh lo' (keep the old stuff) and continues to 'hindustani hai hum' (we are Indian). In the end tag line comes 'Maruti Suzuki Way of Life'.

Murkesh Ambani, an Indian billionaire, is moving to the largest, most expensive home within the world, built to his specifications. The $1.8 billion, 398,000 sq . ft . tower, dubbed "Antilla" by its ostentatious owner, rises 567 ft over the Mumbai slums. Critics are labeling the Ambani house representative of an increasing gap between India's rich and poor and a false example of lasting structures.

    Congratulations Sachin…on completing 2 decades in international cricket. As a cricket lover I sincerely wish your journey would be an immortal epitome of what cricket itself and passion in this game is all about. While I look back and scan through the past twenty years of this journey, I cannot stop convincing myself that most of what you do on field is of immense value to follow in real life.

They
say books are a man’s best friend. Correct. But often the need for an effective
orator who not just explains what literature propounds but adds the
unmistakable flavor of personal experience is felt. Experience yet fresh. We,
the students of PUMBA, had such an opportunity on the 12-Nov-2009
when our alumna, Mrs. Mayuri Bhan, batch 2007, came down to campus to share her
experiences with us.
