Movie Review

Taare Zameen Par

Indian cinema might not have come of age but Aamir Khan certainly has. After proving his prowess in acting with films like Rang De Basanti and Lagaan (both were sent to the Oscar’s from India) he has again proved himself as a director. With TZP he has painted a beautiful picture of a dyslexic child on the cinematic canvas.

David Dhawan, Govinda & Salmaan are back, but this time the Partnership Khichadi is little tasteless.

A Superb COP Movie After A Long Time...

Crimson Tide

Some of you might be freaked out because the movie was released in 1995 but it is worth watching one more time. And if you are studying HR you will love it because it gives an insight into the complex human nature and its behavior under different circumstances. Crimson Tide is not exactly the Oscar stuff because they like crying faces. But if you are looking for a nail biting thriller go watch it.

diamonds r forever? review of 'Blood Diamond'

I had been mesmerised by the compaign of DTC (read De Beers) with a catch line 'diamonds are forever' till last nite when i saw the movie 'Blood Diamond' starring Leonardo DiCaprio and others.

It is a movie based in Serra Leone (those who have prepared KBC might be able to locate it on world map). It portrays how locals were slaved, by brute force, to indulge in diamond hunting. how these diamonds were smuggled, by stiching them in alive sheep's skin, to neighbouring countires so that they get exported to markets of raw diamond. India also gets a mention in the movie. The movie portrays in very harsh manner (a better word in hindi is vibhutsa) how young boys are being forced and motivated to fight in the ongoing civil war/war-of-factions for control of this illegal trade. A touching story of the struggle of a father to get his son back from the clutches of war lords.

A must see for all diamond lovers!!!

Traffic Signal - A Movie Review

Madhur - This is not what we expected from you...

Madhur Bhandarkar is one director who touches subjects which directly or indirectly affect our lives. In Chandani Bar, he showed the ups and more downs of the Bar Girls. In Satta, he attempted to show the victory of honest efforts of a clean professional turned housewife turned politician over dirty politics.
